I received an email from this person and I'm questioning its authenticity. There is a true site with this business name, but her email has a number 1 after the company name, which makes me very leary that it just might be hijacked. I've seen it before.
Also, why would she be asking me if I was an administrative assistant if she checked out my website, as she claims?
I'm listed as being in Omaha and Kansas City..she's from San Fran!
What do you guys think of this?
BTW..it looks like a good site to list on..just wondering about the email from "her"!

The strangest thing to me would be "forwarding you potential new clients" without even getting to know you. Her not asking to speak with you...that's a red flag to me.

Thumbtack.com is legit. You will pay for the leads though either up front or after accepting the job.

Heather the URL given in the email is Thumtack not Thumbtack. On accessing the site through Google search it appears to be legit, however I think the email is bogus and personally I'd ignore it.

I checked the site and it looks legit and there's somebody named Heather Madiosn as their community manager. See this: http://www.thumbtack.com/who

I think she's just out looking for more service providers on their site. I just might check this out myself. They even have staff here in the Philippines.

As always, just be alert for anything you feel isn't right. Albeit, the email was poorly made though.. unfortunately.
