Hello, my name is Todd Mayer . I run a consultancy
firm here with registered address 6353 Cronin Street,
SE15 6JJ.
A client of mine who is due to arrive in the United
States in few weeks time is interested in your
virtual services. Can you tell me a little more about
your mode of operation?
If interested, please reply
Thanks
Todd Mayer
The thing that caught my eye right away was the major discrepancy in the email address. It showed it was from Alfred Lombado (not shown) and it was sent to Alfred Lombado. I was probably BCC'ed with a bunch of other VAs, whom I hope did not fall into this trap.

This was confirmed when I did an address check on Google and like the previous posts, another blog confirmed my suspicions.

You'd think "Todd" would change it up a bit, but I guess he might still be getting some bites on this. I really hope not.

Yikes! Thanks for posting this one Lisa - I wonder how many people receive this same email every day.

I think we all need to be careful about linking this website to potential customers asking for big jobs.....unfortunately it will most likely be a scam and I think because Todd has been linked here he is now targeting all of us.

What a loser!!

This section of the forums is private - nothing in this area is indexed by search engines, and honestly, I really doubt if Todd Mayer is his real name.

Also, *this* is exactly why I ask that no one place their emails on the forums directly, and as such, there's no way for anyone to actually target you directly through the forums.

People like this have lots of bad karma coming their way. As long as each of us is smart about who we reply to via email offers, etc. we should all be OK.

Keeping this library of scams is a great way to protect ourselves, particularly those new to the industry who are most vulnerable for so many reasons.

I appreciate this information. I too have been concerned about scams. We as VA's need to watch out for one another. That's why I like this forum so much. Thanks again!

Ted Grant, Russell Steves, Randall Harris...these are all scammers I've gotten in the past few months with the "Todd Mayer" type of message.

Newest one (he's learning that male names just get deleted immediately) - Theresa Jones.
