I kind of agree with Andrea. I really like the look of the new one - it looks contemporary and professional. But your current logo makes me think of a busines on life support that will die without your help, so it has that emotive element.

What prompted the change? What are you trying to convey with your logo?

Kirsty.

Thanks for your input.

Kirsty,
I'm changing my focus from general administrative to Wordpress Design & everything related to WP. I have 3 areas on my site right now(WP, Admin & Fulfillment) and they really should be separate.
New logo is meant to relay the design aspect more.

I like the current logo. The new logo is very professional but the current logo represents the word "Vital". important, urgent, necessary...etc...

Both are very well done. How are you designing them? Did you do them by yourself or is someone designing them for you?

Good Luck on your decision.

I do actually think that the new logo achieves relaying the design aspect more - but it's such a shame to lose the heart rate monitor lines (or whatever they're called!), especially as you still have 'Vital' in your name!

I'm very interested to know how you came up with them too, because they're both fantastic

Hi Christina,

What would it look like with a little less beveling on the text and the little 'v' shapes, and the drop shadow not dropped down so far?

Hey, since you are trying to focus on WP and going that route - maybe a little ^ caret symbol with WP (maybe WP at a little slant) above the caret, and both inserted before the word 'Office' - but it wouldn't be in the same line as the other text? Erg. I'm not explaining this too well. Like when you use proofreader's marks and you use the ^ and write what should go before a word right above the little caret symbol (although technically it should be an upside down caret, since it is above [and to the left] of the "O" in Office, LOL, instead of below the word).

I too like your current one, but I like this one, too. I understand the direction you're trying to take this.

Man, I hope this rambling make sense!

Christina, I too prefer your current logo. I am not a designer just know what I like and what catches my eye.

Tamera,
I make all my own logos (my current one is the 4th I've designed for my site).

I just love playing in Photoshop so when I get an idea I run with it. I may not always use the ideas I draw up but, it keeps my brain fresh and I may use individual elements elsewhere.

Mary,
No idea for tagline. I really like "We do your business good" but it doesn't say "designer" to me.
I have some other domains I own and may just need to move the design portion to another domain and leave the current site as the admin part of the business.

Thanks for everyone's input & ideas- keep 'em coming

~C

my husband bought photoshop element 7... I will have to play around with it. He has been doing all the editing of our pictures and I was not sure what else photoshop could do.

I am working on doing my own logo and I do not want it to look "homemade".. and your logo's looked very professional. thanks for sharing the info.

Good luck with your decision.

Hi Christina,

I like your new logo, but I do like the heart rate monitor aspect of your old one. How about taking what Jules said and instead of the caret as the peak off of the office section of your logo, a small heart rate monitor peak? So, flat line, peak (above the peak WP) and flat line. Subtle, but you still have the vital solutions idea in there. Now I hope that made sense!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Super idea, Ms. D!!

I can envision the flat line under the text with the peak peaking right before "Office" with WP above it...then continued flat line.
