Default Where's My Voice?
If you were to go to my website what does it "speak" to you? Seriously, it's so much easier for me to help my clients with "finding" their voice, than it is for me to find mine! Part of my problem (I think) is the fact that have so much "knowledge" that its "too much" and my brain is now "clogged".

Does any of this make sense? I'd love to have your advice, comments, suggestions and I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance, Steph

Steph, I don't know I will be much help, but I do have a suggestion. So you know, marketing and sales is my weakest attribute. However, a couple semesters ago I took a Consumer Psychology class. One of the things that I remember distinctly is that you shouldn't do your own marketing or, if you do, to get information from others. When trying to advertise your own company, it's easy to be one-sided. In other words, you may not answer the right questions or appeal to the right needs. The advice given was to ask others what they need or want to know from the ad. I believe that this would apply to finding your "voice" for your website. Maybe if you step outside of yourself and try to see it from a prospective clients view, it may help you to get what you are trying to achieve.

Hi Shannon,
That is exactly true, which is why its easier for me to market for my clients I handed my business information to a few business men at lunch today and asked for their honest opinions. Hopefully this will help me "see' what I need to be for my prospective clients.
Thanks! Steph

My most valuable advice received so far - all of your marketing info must be geared to show potential clients of why your services will be of benefit to them. You need to speak to their needs and expectations - you want to anticipate and answer - what are their top 5 reasons for needing a VA?
