Default Website up and running
Hello,

I finally have my website up and running. I'm so pleased to have it live as now I feel that my business has really begun!

Any comments, typos spotted, welcome. It was loading very slowly last night so if it is loading slowly for you please let me know and I will be on the phone to my service provider!

As you will see from the site I am specialising in supporting historians so I didn't want the site to look too corporate.

Thank you!

You site loaded extremely slow for me. First thing I noticed was the header (h1 tags) was a little hard to read, I would darken those with a complimentary color or bold the red and use that. Also, you have some great points in why you can help, you may want to bold a few of those key words for the skimmers of the information. Example: solely sup*port his*tor*i*ans in their work.

I would also add contact information predominately on all pages, you could it above your lead capture form. I see you have it at the bottom of every page but some people do not scroll.

Other than that, it is great. I did not read all your copy so I cannot help on typos and other stuff. You did a wonderful job.

I did not read through all of your pages, but your site is very eye-catching-- great job! The only thing I noticed that I would change is the light color of your headers. Can you bold or use darker shades?

Thanks for the comments.

I will darken the headers as suggested and look at highlighting parts of the text.

Glad you think it's eyecatching, I was a bit worried it was too text heavy so I am glad it's not.

I am on to my hosting company about the slow loading but think I may have to change host providers and I've only just signed up to them!

Well, I worked out that it was the MailChimp plugin that was causing the slow loading on my website! So I deleted it and used the html instead. Must remember to only use plugins if they are essential and use html if they are not.

I have also changed the headers to a darker colour, put a textured background in and moved my contact details to a more prominent position on my home page.

Phew! Thanks again for the comments (any more appreciated!)
