I Like the lighthouse. I would suggest adding some pictures. There seems to be a lot to read through to find out what you do and why I would want to hire you. Hope that helps.

Here are my suggestions, however please note I only glanced at your site. On the home page instead of telling people what a VA is tell them why they should use you. Chances are that they know what the definition is but how does that apply to them. You cover many of the information on your FAQ page so no need to have it on the home page too.

On the abilities page remove minimum experience from the one service. You can use it, therefore it is an ability. When you get an inquiry for the service then discuss this with the PC so they can decide to give you the contract or not.

Also, I am not a fan of "free" websites. For how little hosting costs it makes it look like you do not want to make the investment in your business. First impressions are everything and with the amount of visible competition in the industry this small detail can make the difference of being chosen versus not.

Hi Dawn,

I like your site and also the lighthouse idea. I agree with Lee in that you have too much on the definition of a VA on your homepage. The FAQ can cover this information. I also agree about the 'free' websites comment. You should be able to buy your domain which can be attached you website for a relatively low cost.

I also think that you should think about changing your 'abilities' page title to 'services'. The word 'abilities' focuses on you and what you offer. What you need to do is shift the focus to the reader and highlight not what you can do, but what you can do for them. I think that this is a small but important point.

I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your business.

Sue

I agree on changing "Abilities" to "Services" and putting what you can do for THEM on the main page with maybe the "What's a VA" on the FAQ. I really like the lighthouse!

I like your website a lot and the comments here are very good and I agree with the Abilities to Services and the What's a VA to the FAQ page!
