Some more things: I find the site too wild. There is too much animation going on. Can you get rid of some of it? It's possible to delete some of the stuff without losing the flash effect.

The icons at the top (home, contact, etc.) are too far into the header. And they move! Too much movement. There are also too many objects that look clickable and which are not clickable. Very confusing. E.g. when I click on Powerpoint and click on the picture the pic zooms in into something weird. It's crazy. Sorry to be so frank, but it's not a good thing for a professional website.

And the red and yellow font on the khaki green background is too distracting and doesn't convey a professional image. The red is clashing badly with the green and it's hurting the eyes. Stick with a few font colours and don't go too bright.

"Electric secretary" - it sounds weird and might be interpreted as a software programme fulfilling secretarial needs (as some smart ones already do). Better stick with virtual instead, at least people understand what it means and what you want to say.

Throughout the website your paragraphs don't line up. Potential clients will feel you are sloppy with your approach if you don't fix it. If you centre, then centre it properly. Sometimes it's better to align it to one side for a more professional look.

I think you need quite a bit of tweaking for this to look professional. You can change background colours and remove some of the "action" and also get consistent font colours. This would be a great improvement. Good luck.

I like the concept and colors you have chosen for your site, but it's a bit difficult to navigate and read. Your alignment is off in places as well.
If you are offering web design as a service, you need to make certain that every little minor detail is paid attention to.

thank you for all the advices and opinions. I am working on revamping my website, but as a flash website, it is hard to do, so please, if anyone checks back, changes may not be very noticeable for a couple of weeks! Thank you for all your time!! I really appreciate this!

Hello Everyone-I am proud to present to you my new updated website! I finally redid it this weekend, the only flash on the website is the introduction.

I look forward to hearing from you, and I took into account all the previous advice that I was given, so I hope to hear what everyone thinks! Thank you for your time!

I personally do not like the flash intro (I am way too impatient to wait for them to load). I don't know if this will deter would be clients as well. I did reload and watch it whole though and the intro is quite different from the theme of the site.

I had a hard time reading it because of the colors. They were too hard on my sensitive eyes.

Your resume was very hard to read and I would consider taking out what you had been paid in the past. Most clients do not need this information for they are only worried about your current rates and fees.

And finally, you may want to consider taking out the guest book. It really is not necessary on a professional site. Maybe consider replacing with a testimonials area.

Good Luck to you.

I agree about the Flash introduction. Frankly, Flash introductions are passé and really only serve to annoy people who just want to get to your website. Those types of things should be reserved for certain kinds of websites and media... and VA just isn't one of them. Oh, sure it's pretty and neat to look at, but it doesn't really serve a purpose. I have never... not once, sat through one of those introductions. In this case, your introduction really isn't very helpful, nor does it match the look and feel of the website. I'm trying to be bluntly honest here, so please take this as me trying to help you, because that's what I'm trying to do. Better to hear this on these forums than from clients, right?

Another concern is the NASCAR graphic. What is the point of the NASCAR label? Do you have permission from NASCAR to use their name and logo? How does that fit in with your business? This is supposed to be a business website, not a NASCAR fan site. NASCAR could (and probably will if they see it) threaten legal action if you leave that up there.

You're a single person business, so your "About Us" and "Contact Us" pages should not use the term "Us". It should say, "About Me" or "About Rhonda" or "Contact Me" or something like that. Never give the impression that you are a larger business than you really are.

Finally, I also agree about the colors. All over dark backgrounds are very difficult on some eyes. I suggest a lighter background with darker text. It doesn't need to be black on white... in fact, try using the colors in your flash intro as inspiration. Dark brown or gray on a cream background are easy on the eyes and don't distract the reader as much.

It's getting better! It's looking more professional, Rhonda.

I just took a quick peek and the thing that jumped out the most was the orange text on the pink background. I can barely read it.
