Re: Website Finished
Hi there

Congrats on getting your website this far. I'm still on the path.

My feedback is as follows:
* Header needs to have a larger font size. Make Border City Administration stand out a bit more.

* Colour scheme is good, looks very professional

* Is this happening to you textbox.....missing '?' after first question

* Services page - picture widths are different. Doesn't look overly odd but it is noticeable.

* Weekend Service textbox.....extra fullstop after second caption.

Personally I wouldn't use the wikipedia definition of a VA. I ended up writing my own after reading lots and lots. There is a good one on another va networking site under their kickstart.pdf which I used for inspiration. Your choice.

It's a great start!

Fiona

Hi Fiona,

Thank you for all the tips I have fixed some of them the only problem is I cannot adjust the size of th font on the name as I am using a template and I cannot figure out how to enlarge this font but I will keep work at it.

I appreciate all the input and once my brain gets moving again I will come up with a quote on what a VA is.

What building platform are you using? Wordpress etc... Maybe post a query on the site. There are heaps of code gurus here.

Also I'd be happy to send you my go at a 'What is a VA?' It's not to say it's perfect, but I geared it a little more to skills and benefits of having a VA.

The only think I don't like about the wiki one is that it talks about 5-8000 VA's out there. It gives the prospective client at lot more to think about...as in shopping around. You want them to know what a VA is but not be already dismissing you.

My $0.02

Cheers

Fiona

Hi Sharon,

I like your color scheme.

I have to scroll horizontally on all but the Home and Rate Schedule pages. You might adjust the widths of these outside tables. (I dislike the use of tables for layout/presentation because IMO this hurts SEO - see: 10 Reasons to Use CSS for Layout – Not Tables.

You should also run your site URL (and all other pages) through the W3C Validator - there are a lot of errors and warnings - also not good for SEO and this will also effect the way your page(s) will be viewed by browsers, etc. These should be fixed.

I wonder if where you got your template would have an X/HTML and CSS version?

I agree with not using the Wikipedia definition of what a VA is. I don't find it wholly accurate (e.g. the number of VAs for one ).

I hope you take this as constructive and don't be discouraged. You have a great start, it just needs some "tweaking."

Hey, just checked out your site. I like it. I also had to scroll across, but only on the home page.
