Default website completed YAY!!!
Hi guys,

My new website is finally finished.
I was very fortunate to become the 100th member of the blog group on here and won a Wordpress package by Christina Nelson of Vital Office Solutions
Christina has done a fantastic job with the site.
Now I would just like some feedback on the content of the site. All advice and criticism welcome.

Many Thanks
Karen

Dear Karen:

Congratulations on your site - it is beautiful!

I was only able to review it quickly but there is a typo on the "Our Services" page. It is in the Word Processing section, 3rd sentence "We would supply a professinally (rather than professionally) finished document on plain paper....".

All the best,

Jolene

Love the look - very neat and tidy. But tell me, what is PPC Management? Never heard of that before. You might need to spell that out for potential clients.

Hi Kathie,
PPC stands for Pay Per Click as in Adwords advertising and other similar types of advertising. I did think it was clear in the description what it was but I will review it just to make sure its clear.
Thanks Jolene for pointing out the typo i will get on that now

Thanks Guys
Karen

Never take for granted that a viewer/reader will be familiar with acronyms. When you introduce them for the first time, always important to spell it out and then put the acronym in brackets. After that you can continue to use it. The reader needs to be educated.

Sorry if you did have it spelt out somewhere but it wasn't obvious to me when you were speaking about Adwords on that page.

This is particularly important on websites and with any acronym because you no longer have just a 'local' audience but a global one. I often see people using the standard acronym for their state or even city - but for someone in another country they often won't know what it stands for. Same with things like time, i.e. EST, PST, etc. For those outside of the US, the information needs to be spelt out because it doesn't mean the same to them as someone in the know.

Hope this helps.

I agree with Kathie, you have seconds to get their attention and if they come across something that does not make sense then they will move on.

Also on your home page, you really should have your "sell" there. What sets you apart from your colleagues. What makes you want them to join with you. Maybe take your bullet points and rework then move them above the fold.

Looks great. A few typos (and others on here have been so helpful with finding typos on my website)

"conscienous" in Anna's testimonial
"protrays" in Phil's testimonial
"professinally" as mentioned above
"email respond" in Virtual Office Management
no period after paying - last paragraph of virtual office management

I haven't been able to look at the other pages, but will do later.

Christina did an awesome job! And I'm not biased because she's such an awesome person to know.

Good luck and best wishes to you and your business, Karen!
