Hi

I'm new and not to sure if my suggestion are valid. but as i review your profile, and picture you seem to be more of a outdoor character, maybe should base your brand around those features.

incorporate your love for horses and/or animals on your site, but keep in mind the clients your trying to pickup, in the end does the site show or say who you really are?

Creatively speaking it is a good direction if your seeking the artistic/crafty market. Good luck.

Everyones suggestions are valid!

Art is my background so I went with more of an art feel. I am hoping that my verbiage comes across as casual, easy to work with.

I have built all of the pages I need right now, I havent added all of the content, but I dont think that will ever be complete

Hi Shelley, I like your layout and positioning but I wonder if the fish and the chef should go? Or maybe even the coffee. I feel from your website that are providing the outlook of ease and simplicity by the white background and your layout. The art splotches give it some nice colour too.
Regards

Not to be biased towards my own site , but I think your site would look pretty cool with a black background. The colors are so bright and vivid. I do like the look of your site and think you are well on your way!

Black would look cool but this is a CSS template and it comes that way. It also comes with the fishbone and chef...

Shelly, I use the Free CSS templates and customize the CSS to other colors, etc. The license agreement says we are free to remix so I hope that means changing colors and reformatting to suit our creativity. I do provide a link in the footer to free css templates. I'm now wondering about the license agreement so I emailed the developer to be sure. Let you know what he says.

Shelly, I received an answer back from the Free CSS Templates and it's OK to change colors or whatever in the templates as long as you provide a link back to the web site. I use StyleMaster to edit CSS. It has a great tutorial and you can download a 30 day trial to check it out before buying.

Shelly

I looked at the css file and I think you can easily remove the chef and the fishbone if you want to. Removing the fishbone would require modifying the img02.gif file. If you want to remove the two item and require some assistance you can send me a message and I should be able to help hopefully.

Hi Shelly
When clicking on your site, my first impression was "interest". I love the use of colors and brightness which sparked my "interest" to see more of the site.

I know you are still working on the site, but I think I can feel the vibe you are trying to achieve.. Once you add more of the content specific to your field and essence of your business, I am quite sure all the pieces of the puzzle will fit.. but so far.. GREAT WORK! I know it can be hard to create a website (I am attempting to finalize mine as we speak)

I applaude your courage to bring it to the group for constructive critiquing.

I am too scared right now (lol)

Thank you Capricia, oh honey, dont be scared! We dont bite.... maybe a little ok but it wont hurt LOL

Ive decided to keep the fishbone and chef. I like them.. The white background gives it a cleaner look than a black would (IMO) I had tried a black template before and after looking at it didnt really like it that much.

Jeni and Kemi, you two are great! Thank you for all of that info.

If I can get a few hours alone today (Moms here so probably not) I am going to add more content and more pages. I am also working on a hidden page for photos of my artwork.
