Urban feel, what do you think?
I am trying to go for that urban, coffee house, casual feel... I have 1 page done and want your opinion before I go on any further.
Please tell me what you think of the layout, colors, feel, etc.
Im going to change the parrot to something else, not sure what.. I also want to add more content. This page doesnt even have links built yet.

Ok, sock it to me!
thanks for all your input

Re: Urban feel, what do you think?
Overall, I like the look but I'm wondering more about how it fits in with your overall branding. Do you have a logo? A tagline? How do those fit in with the "look" of your website. All of these things should tie in together to give a unified branded look and feel of what/how you are trying to present yourself.
I understand that you are trying to go for a more casual feel but really it seems more like an "artist" or artsy type site. Which if that is your target audience, then that seems perfect.
I think it would be easier to give feedback on this if it was finished with more of your branding and with more content.
Just my two cents.

Re: Urban feel, what do you think?
Hi,
Just looked at your site. What I saw I liked so far. The tone of your message pulled me in, what is needed in a VA's office. I liked the colorful parrot and the look of your Web page. But I have to agree with Kimberly about the branding of your business. Also I think it would be easier to review after your site was completely finished. To see how everything ties in together, branding, images, tag line, etc. My thoughts.

Re: Urban feel, what do you think?
Thanks girls, I am just trying to see if this gives that casual feel.... Like I said, Ive only worked on this one page so changing it will be easy peasy... my whole brand is going in that direction. I want it to say 'easy to work with', I even changed my twitter background LOL... went with that 70's brick wall casual living look.
Im still working on a logo, my tag line is 'A sage choice for your small Business" (thanks for whoever thought that up ) I am going to have a photo page too, just to give folks something to look at. Probably put up some of my own artwork.

Re: Urban feel, what do you think?
Hi Shelley, I also like what you've done so far. In my opinion, you have achieved what you're looking for. Your site is inviting, casual, easy to read...can't wait to see the finished product. Just one note...did you mean to write "A worry free business environment with quality services taylored to your needs."... Should it be tailored?? Other than that, it's a great start!!!

I think it's a great start - easy to read, yet eye catching and I love the use of the color splotches.

Re: Urban feel, what do you think?
The general look of the side is good and whether you decide to stay with this theme or not you should definitely stick with the general layout, navigation and use of white. I'm not sure about the fish bone though :-) and maybe sharpen the way the list of cost is written - I found it hard to read with all the * and ~ in the text and overlapping text under the numbers.

Re: Urban feel, what do you think?
Thank You Kemi, thats what Im looking for... I couldnt decide if I liked those ~ thingies or not lol
I had to build this in IE, but I usually use Firefox. There are less problems this way than with building with Firefox but there are still some things that over lap and dont format correctly.
