I think it's fantastic. Love the whimsy/ethereal quality - it's not stuffy or typical. I didn't have any trouble navigating & finding what I wanted - and... I see you got the GChat to work too? Nice.

And now I can't wait to see it! One of the things that is so great about this forum is seeing all the ways you guys interpret this job. It's so inspiring!

Ah, it's in your blood!

Cool, thanks- I suppose part of it too is being a dorky Harry Potter fan.

Thanks- I've always been pretty "different", so I hope my site reflects who I am. Thanks again, everyone!

Kim,

I think your site looks great. I specialize in UI design and you're definitely on the right path with the trends that are going on in this industry. Your info is laid out intuitively and easy to find.

Hi Kim,

I appreciate your vision, and the task of a website is to QUICKLY grab the attention of your prospective client. I do not believe that an executive would stay very long at your site because of the graphics. Most executives are not into kitch and want to know that you have the maturity to do your job ...the graphics do not create that impression.

The grass seems totally off message - I would use the globe graphic in the headder instead, take out the placemat, cupcake and that brown thing (sorry I can not identify it.) Replace wooden planks with a brown leather desk blotter, move the pen, ink and map (edges of map look odd) near the cup and notepad. Also, differentiate the tag line from the name of your business so that they can see quickly what you do.

Once I read you text I get it - but your first task is to get me there and the graphics don't.

I hope you don't feel this feedback is too harsh I am only giving you my impressions and my suggestions.

Take care, Barbara

I am totally new to all this and am just beginning to research building my own website, but I really liked your site. It was extremely user friendly, which is very important to prospective clients. Most executives I have worked for and with have little technical knowlege and look for the quickest way to get from point A, your homepage, to point B, being services and contact info. I also liked the banner at the top because it shows creativity. In my experience, that is what sells. Creative solutions.

Hi Kim

Firstly I LOVE the name magicsatchel, it's very catching and memorable. Great site and very unique. I wanted to click on the note in the top right hand corner to send an email but there was no link. I think this would be a nice feature if you're able to include that.
Overall I really like your design and colour scheme.

I hope this has helped.

Hi Rach,

I have to agree with Kim on NOT including an actual link to her email (this is a pet peeve of mine ). It is too easy for spammers to "grab" your email if it is a link, so the use of a contact form is much better, and only my opinion, much more professional.

Just my 2-cents.
