The background was very distracting to me and I was confused by some of the illustrations in your heading. I think it may just be a creative block but I don't get the feel of a VA site when looking at your header. Your content is great though.

Personally I do not like the theme, could not link it to a VA business, but as I read on and you described where you got your name from, it became a little clearer. I would worry that a prospective client would not get that far down your page.

You state that all emails are answered within 30 min. is that practical? If you are working on a clients project, will you stop every 30 mins to check emails but if you are going to use an auto responder it would be possible alright.

Otherwise you content is good.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the feedback- Vicky got it, it is linked to the name completely. I am working on it to make it cleaner. I had a desktop originally, but I wanted a "magic" feeling about it so I went for older looking desktop items.

I also didn't want it to look like a standard VA site, but I can see how it might be confusing. I am not sure which way to go with it because I really want to be consistent with my colors (robin's egg blue/brown) and older looking items, but I also don't want to confuse potential clients.

Thanks again! (Vicky, I know I asked before, but what part of Ireland are you from? My ex is from Newcastlewest.)

I like it Kim, I think a site with graphics that illustrate benefits and are a bit more interesting than typical VA sites that show yet another computer, secretary, PDA, etc. is interesting and would make me want to go deeper into your site. I think you need something different to get people's attention. On your site I see a globe which makes me think of travel and time for a cup of coffee.

I think it was the guy who invented the Rolex watch who when asked how the watch business was going, said he wasn't in the watch business. The person asked the question said but you are selling a watch. He replied that he was selling the luxurious lifestyle associated with wearing a Rolex (or something like that). And that's what we're selling - we're selling people the opportunity to enhance their businesses which enhances their lifestyle.

Hi Kim

I like your site. It is very neat and clean. I think the site will stand out. Like Julia stated, You want something different, and you definitely have created that.

You did a good job

Thanks- I appreciate all the feedback, but I think you got where I was coming from even my site is a bit ethereal.

I think I mentioned it before, but my career has mainly been in beauty- cosmetics, skincare, etc. So much of that is promoting an idea, because product is just goop. Nice goop, expensive goop, but packaging and branding and describing is a lot of what I did.

An old makeup artist/esthetician adage is "we don't sell (cream, lipstick, etc), we sell hope."

Cool, thanks! I really, really appreciate the assessment! And I suppose clients should get a feel for my working personality with my site- at least, I hope.

Kim,
That is totally what I'm going for with my site as well. When I described to my web designer what I wanted, there was a moment of silence LOL. When she got to know me and a feel for what I wanted, it is all coming together nicely. Can't wait to share it!

EXACTLY! When I redid my website, the last flash banner image is of hot air balloons. I put a hot air balloon image on the front of my business card and one guy I knew said, "so are you selling balloons now?" "No", I said, "I'm selling freedom" It's also a great photo on the card and makes people look at it!

I liked the website. The content was very good and the website definitely grabbed my attention, since it was different from the one's I have seen.
