I hadn't written to my blog in some time so I decided to remove it from my website for now. In its place I added a sample page. I really like the idea of having one. It is something that I can update as I get more projects.

I use Homestead and they added a function to create thumbnails. The problem is that when it creates the thumbnails it cuts off quite a bit of the actual picture and only shows a square of it. I really like the way the full size picture is displayed, but I would like a thumbnail that is just a smaller version of the full picture. Any help with this little problem would be appreciated.

For what it's worth, I think your sample page looks good. I like that you can click on the samples to see a bigger version of the sample document.

I do have a question, did you receive permission from the client's to post their information on your website? The only reason I am asking is because you are displaying their personal information to the public. If you've done so, then I think that's great. If not, you may need to send your client's a letter to get it approved to have their information displayed as samples on your website. A signed approval is the best route to take. (At least, that's my humble opinion. More experienced VAs will be able to chime in on this.)

I have changed the personal information on the items that are still currently being used. As I am a new VA most things were done for family or for myself. The databases have sample information in them and were created by me. In the future, if I add future projects, I will definitely get approval before posting them. Thanks for the input, it is truly appreciated.

Wow, what a great feature, I really like it!! I prefer to use the word 'Portfolio' though, but as you are only showing a selected few, 'Samples' is probably the best word to describe it!

A wonderful addition to your site, but I would call it "Portfolio" even though it only gives samples as Lia has pointed out, but I think "Portfolio" sounds better.

While I was on you site, I took the liberty of looking around and I spotted a spelling mistake on the "Why a VA page", it is towards the bottom of the page and reads ".... top 10 series that gives may reasons ....." I presume that it should be "many". Hope you do not mind it been pointed out.

It really is a lovely site, and very easy to read and navigate around.
