Default Review of my website and Portfolio appreciated
Good Sunday to all ladies!
And apologizes and Good Sunday too, if there's "dudes" out here

I would really like you to review my website and Portfolio.

The website is located att http://www.wrenda.se

I have a twist regarding where to find the Portfolio and I would very much like to have comments on that.

Thank you in advance,

Greetings from Sweden!

Hi Ann
I just had a quick peek at your site and while I like the logo and colors you chose I did find some things that you might want to address.

I find your navigation a bit confusing - when I click onto the blog or another internal page on the site, the menu at the top changes (wrenda.se shows up in the menu all of a sudden, etc.) and then down the right hand side there are two links for 'About' as well as one that says 'bric a brac about' - I didn't click into them but I'm assuming you want only one 'About' page/link.

When I click onto the blog I don't see any actual blog content, I just see Skype buttons and a template chooser. I think it would be best to have your most important content front and center. Let the Skype button and template chooser be in the sidebar, put the blog posts in the middle of the page. Also, I don't understand why I see two Skype buttons?

In the menu at the top and menu at the right are Showcase and Portfolio the same thing?

I would recommend putting more links in the main menu across the top - label them clearly, and link to specific pages on your site - users want easy navigation (as do the search engines) and I am a bit lost on your site as it is. You should have links to your services, contact us, about us, portfolio, blog, (maybe home?) and any other major page on your site from the main menu.

If you have numerous services pages, you might create one main services page to link to from the main menu and link out to each page from there.

Links in the right hand sidebar should match in terms of the words used.

I think you have a good start here you just need to think about how the site will look to a potential client who is trying to find information about what you do and hopefully wants to learn more. If it's not clear where they should click they're simply going to log off.

Also don't forget to double check your spelling and grammar if you're planning to work with the English-speaking market.

Wishing you the best and looking forward to seeing the next iteration of your site!

I have to agree with everything Tess said above - but I also wanted to say that I really love your logo!

Thank you kindly for the review.

The way I was thinking was to have a web site as an "ad" and a sub site as a workplace (the showcase) and then there's the blogg. When I click on Blogg I get to the blogg.

By the sound of it Tess, you have navigated to the workplace/showcase (where you could see more of what I do, see what I've done, use tools etc.) The two skype-buttons are for chat and phone respectively.

Wrenda.se shows up because you leave the site and goes to monter.wrenda.se, perhaps I should try to put some other colors there. Or maybe it just wasn't a good idea?

It was a very good reivew and I really appreciate the way you explained your experience! I think the site will benefit from the changes you suggested!

The layout of the menus I will take into strong consideration. Thank you for pointing that out!

There was some time since I practiced my English and I might have gotten out of shape. There will be double checking done!

Thank you both for complimenting my logo.

I thought your sight looked great. After implementing the touchups that Tess suggested - I have no doubt it will be very impressive and professional. Good luck!

Hi again, now I have done the layout part and I must say I like the new look much better. I kept the showcase in the old style though, cause it's a creative place while the main page serves information purpose.

I went over the information and did some "kill your darlings", actually I feel much more professional and without a doubt I erased the personal touch. Being in business for a couple of months now have had that effect.

Tried my best with the English translation and I'm really out of practice. But I'm getting back in shape, and am trying to have a little bit of practice every day. Just hoping my shape measures up when I'm back on track.

Thank you all for the positive and constructive feedback.

A couple of days ago I added my brochure as a landing page on my facebook page. Think it's pretty neat if I may say so!

In your logo, Assistants is spelled wrong. It says WREN Digital Assistans instead of Assistants.

Dear Paulette, thank you for pointing that out but it is intentional since I'm from Sweden.
If, or dare I say when, my business grows and I aim toward more international clients, I considered to change it to Assistance. But Assistants has a more nice ring to it.

Congratulations on your site. Typically the contact page is the last one in the navigation, was there a reason you have it right after the home page? Also, since the background is so dark, you may want to consider using white text so that it is easier to read.

That being said, you are off to an awesome start.

Thank you Stacey, and in answer to your question, no there wasn't. Not really, besides me always getting frustrated when not finding contact information right away on a page, I suppose. Haven't really getting it all much thought, that it's typically on the right side, the only thing I reflected on is as earlier mentioned that it shouldn't be hard to find. I might just move it to the right now that I'm aware of this. Thank you once again!
