I really like what you have done to your site. The only thing I would try is to make the background a bit lighter so the words don't get lost on the page as the others have already mentioned. The site is very nicely done and you have a great page. I would also maybe put the words my blog in a different color as well that will make it stand out better or match the background colors a bit better with the color scheme.
