Default Is My Redesign Too Simple?
Hi everyone,

I've changed my VA site significantly recently and I'm wondering if I made it too simple. I switched to Wordpress and found a free template that fit and then I ruthlessly cut much of the text to make it more simple. I also removed my long services list and started using categories of services I provide. I'd love to get some feedback to see if I've gone too far to make it more simple.

Thanks!

Bonnie

Pretty! I have not looked into the content but my first impression is positive. I like the color, the header, etc.

Hi Bonnie,

I think it looks great. My thoughts are there is just enough information to get the perspective client to contact you and not so much they feel overwhelmed.

Hi Bonnie;

Love the look of your site - nice and clean and just the right amount of info on each page. In quick scan of content I found the following that you may consider updating:

Quote:
My clients make more money after they start working for me because I keep the marketing engine going while they do what they do best… speaking, consulting, coaching or providing products and services.
I think you meant to say "after they start working with me..."

Quote:
You can use the Paypal button below to pay for the service and then e-mail the twenty pieces of content to
I did not see a Paypal button below as you indicate.

Your site is very clear and I applaud you for outlining how you choose and work with your clients -- this makes choosing your services very easy for prospective clients.

Good luck,

I really like how you have the site laid out. I am a fan of the darker backgrounds, which I use on my site too. The information is good.

Here are my two comments/suggestions:

The logo.....I really want to like the logo, but I don't.....I think the idea of using a "cartoon" type of character is just fine and I've seen other websites that use that same type of concept. But when I look at her, I don't see a professional - which I could probably get over. There's something about her eyes that isn't very welcoming - it could totally be just ME.

Clients Page......you have a very extensive list of clients and that is going to tell a prospective client that you are well established. However, what would be of much higher value to me if I were in there shoes would be a Testimonials page vs. a list. Even if you just had a handful of testimonials on that page, I think it would be more important to me than just a list.

Just my two cents!!!

Bonnie,

Great job, however my three comments are:

1. The logo. When I look at I think of my teen children and all the technology they are into. I like the logo but not to convey a professional image. This is just my 2 cents but I cannot seem to get past that.

2. Client list. I know it says past and present but prospects will not see this. They will see a laundry list and wonder how a one person office has time to service all the clients on the list. I would change this to testimonials or pare it down to a great short list.

3. Policies. "I will not take on more than one client in the same field or who sells the same type of product." This would make me leave your page immediately. I would not even waste my time to pursue after looking at your long client list.

Hope this helps.
