Ladies & Gentlemen,

I think I've finally got the basics finalized on my website. I would really appreciate some constructive criticism and feedback. I plan to add additional content in the near future, but wanted to get the basic framework up and running ASAP. Since this is my first attempt at building a website, I really need some fresh eyes to look at it. Thanks in advance.

Hi Ani,

Lots of good information but what are your rates - don't keep them a secret.

Your logo is fuzzy - I am not a Graphics guru but you may need it enter it in a different format or higher resolution.

On the first page I would change the sentence Was it longer than you expected? to Was the list longer than you expected?

Your tables are showing.

I think you have everything you need to get you started there. The only thing I would look at again was the banner across the top of your website, it was the first thing I saw and when viewed with Microsoft explorer it looked blurred or out of focus and that was not pleasing to the eye. Good luck with your website.

The banner & graphic are slightly out of focus for me, too.

I agree with Barbara that you might consider adding your rate to your rates page. As a potential client, I would expect to see that on a page titled rates. I'm also an ex-retailer & the one thing we were always told was you can lose a lot of sales by not having a price tag on your merchandise.

Also, I think the table Barbara referred to is actually a border around your graphic. ???

A few changes & you are good to go.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I've made the recommended changes and fixed the banner graphic. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to fix the boarder it's putting around my background graphic. I'll keep working on it though. Any further suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi Ani,

Your banner is much sharper! My only other comment is that I think your font on your Q&A page is a little small. I see on all your other pages you have a larger font that is easier to read.

Overall it's a pleasing site & nicely organized. Nice work!

It think the site looks good. The message on your homepage is very clear and will intrest people to read more. I noticed in the body of the pages, there is a faint line...like maybe a text box in the background that needs to be deleted or something. Other than that I looks very nice. Congrats.

Thanks all. Lezly, I've been debating with myself about the font size of the FAQs. (I used one of Office Live's pre-formatted pages.) I'll take your advice and up the font size.

As for the faint line in the background, I've tried everything I know to get rid of it. For some reason Office Live seems to be putting a boarder around my background graphic. Are there any Office Live or web design experts who can tell me how to fix that? If not, is it distracting enough that I should just lose the background graphic completely?
