Default first ever website is up
Ok I have my site up and since I have never done this before I am looking for some feedback. I am unsure about the grammer as sometimes this is not something that I am not good at.

Thanks!

Christina,

Congratulations on getting your website published. I know it is a huge step when getting your business off the ground.

This is my feedback:
  • It felt a bit cold, in my opinion the site could use a little color.
  • The images were missing, I could only see the alt-text.
  • A logo would be a nice addition, if you have one.
  • Rates: the first section is centered and the rest is left-aligned.
  • Rates: typo "free one house consultation"
Overall I think it's a good start

Thanks Ladies! I will fix it up. I am unsure about what kind of logo I want, this is something that I wanted to do, but I unsure about what I want. I am sure that one day it will come to me.

What browser where you looking at it in?

Thanks

For a logo, you could think of some images that you want to represent your business and then do a search to find examples of those images. It might help to give you some inspiration.

I use the Firefox web browser.

Congratulations on getting your first website up, what an exciting accomplishment!

I agree with much of the feedback you've received, especially the advice to make the site 'warmer'.

Try this:

See if you can put yourself in the shoes of a potential client and what they would expect to see when they come to a website to hire YOU. What are they questions they have, what kind of colors do they expect to see, what are the objections they might raise. You want to answer all of that for them.

Another thing I might suggest:

Are you trying to convince them they need a virtual assistant or that they should hire YOU as their virtual assistant.

I see on your main page that you are telling them WHY they should hire a VA. I hope that by the time they get to your website (via google search, referrals, ads, etc) that they already know they NEED a VA and now they need to figure out who they want to hire. I suggest you assume they already want to hire a VA and use your main page to convince them why they should hire you and what you have to offer them.

Hope that helps too
