Default Finished Putting It Online
Hi everyone,

Got my website up and running this last weekend. It's a weebly to start with, but plan to buy a domain name within the next month or so. Can you take a look at it and give me your thoughts? www.JGAssistance.weebly.com

Thanks

Hello

Your FAQ section is not working.

I think that your home page is a bit cluttered for my liking. Maybe have the benefits in a separate page if possible.

Other then that it works!

It's working for me now, but I noticed that their website was down for maintenance this afternoon and a few of my pages weren't coming up. Thanks for your input.

Hi Janet,

On your "Contact Us" page, I don't see a comment box..just name, email, phone number and the submit button. I am using Firefox 4.

Thanks, Jen, for pointing that out to me. I'm thinking of changing the template as well. I'm not sure that I like the darker color. This will be my project for the next few weeks.

Great website Janet. These are my only two observations.

The script for Working with you to accomplish your goals is a little hard to read.

On the services page I have always been told you need to show how those services can help them. ie data entry, how keeping track of all contacts to make sure nobody falls through the cracks. Something like that.

It is a great feeling to design your own website, and it is always a work in progress.

I would change your home page to be the benefits page as that's your most important information.

Thank you so much for your input, Nancy and Bridie. I have changed the format quite a bit as someone suggested letting visitors see how my company would help them. This will be a work in progress but as I keep working on it, hopefully, it will get better and better.

Hi Janet,

Nice website overall and a great start, I wish mine was as far along as yours!

I did notice a few things while reading through that you might want to check:

1. On the "FAQ" page Under "Why Hire A Virtual Assistant" the word "considerable" needs to be changed to "considerably".

2. On the "Services We Offer" page on the 4th bullet it looks like there is verbiage missing at the end of the sentence. Also at the foot of the page it reads "And Much M".

3. On the "Contact Us" page it shows "Title Text" above the contact form.

Hope that helps

Janet:

Here are my recommendations:

  • Your header image is too large; visitors have to scroll to start reading text
  • The text in your header image should be in a contrasting color; as it is, now, it tends to get lost in the background image.
  • The second-to-last bullet point on your services pages should actually be the last bullet point; also the last line on the page reads "Much M". Did you mean "Much More"?
Other than those suggestions, the site looks good. You have, for the most part, all of the information that you need to have there.
