My first thought is your site doesn't match your name. I was expecting to see some sort of tropical theme or something calm and relaxing. Your website doesn't say "paradise" to me.

I know! I initially had a tropical feel to it and my husband said that it wasn't business like.

I have to second Rebecka. My first thought was a virtual assistant being in paradise, as if on vacation. What about Paradise Virtual Assistance?

"If your answer to any of these questions was yes, then you will probably benefit from a Virtual Assistance."

Should the above be "...benefit from a Virtual Assistant?"

You might want to think about keeping the font and size consistent or have a style guide (I'm not web techie! So I could be off base with a style guide!)

Those were just a couple of things I saw.

HTH!

I think you can make it tropical and still keep it professional. You can use tropical colors without making it cartoony by using deeper rather than bright colors. Also, by using pictures rather than clip art.

Are you spending hours trying to manage your to-do list and calendar when instead of in front of clients and prospects? ???

I would take out the "full justify" style and make all paragraphs "left justify"

FAQs: Our Business is about making yours better! I would either make it ALL title case or make the B in business lower case

Us Postal Service US should all be capitalized

Contact us the C in contact should be lower case

The only other thing I would change is your page headers. They currently read "home", "about", etc. I would change them to "A VA IN PARADISE virtual assistance - Home", etc. or something along those lines.

It seems like you're already getting good feedback on the content so...I completely and enthusiastically agree with Rebecka and Doreen - you've got a great amount of marketing/branding potential with your company name and should use that to your advantage.
There are a gazillion 'professional' websites and I guarantee you a client that comes across a site that not only gives good service info but has a bit of personality and shine - well, that's a site he or she will be inclined to come back to or be inspired by!

I'd love to see you do something more theme relative - and totally agree that you can do so in a tasteful way.

Wow, I'm going to have you guys give me feed back on my site, very honest. I do agree just the banner I would take a look at, but I will say you site is very easy to get around. Not to much reading this and that. Keep up the good job.

your site is a very good start... I too was looking for something that made me fell warm and relaxed as if I was in paradise but I can also see your husband's point as well about being professional maybe you can put a spin on it such as join our other clients living in a business paradise of not being overwhelmed or surrounded by back logs of paperwork and unfinished projects or something like that. paradise does not have to be a tropical island it can be a carefree work environment filled with ontime projects and things of that nature as well. I would work some forms in to your site as well that will allow your potential clients to complete a "questionaire" and give you as much info about their needs up front as well.

Oh thank you all so much!!!! I have never made a website before and don't even blog so this is all new to me! I went to godaddy and did the website tonight and there are a few travel looking templates. Do you think I should change to one of those?

How about posting links to the templates you're thinking of and maybe we can all give a bit of feedback on those?
I'd just be a bit careful how far in that direction you do go...but I've no doubt there's something out there that's *just right* for your business persona.

Let's see what you're looking at

I found a template where I can add 1, 2 or 3 pictures to it! I have a few pictures I just need some opinions on which to use.

I like the handshake one a lot, I have it on one of the pages already. I think it reflects the partnership feeling.

I like the handshake one too. I also like the one of the water. It's relaxing but maybe a bit too dark.
