Hello,

We have launched our new website. After much review and consideration of our old website, we have revamped the functionality and look of our site.

Please let me know if you see anything out of the ordinary.

Looking forward to working with you all!

Hi there - although I am relatively new to the VA business, I thought I'd give my two cents:

1. I like the layout, look and design of your website.

2. When I clicked on the "featured ad" - something about Legal Services for same price as a cup of coffee - honestly, it took too long to the load the page and I gave up and moved on. (I did go back to this later, and I like the page, and enjoyed the movie, but I wonder if other people experience the same thing and just never go back to it?? Am wondering if you can include it somewhere else on your website that doesn't take so long to load the page?)

3. I hope other people reply to this part because I would like their thoughts: I have never posted my working hours for a few reasons -

#1 - part of the definition of an "independent contractor" vs. an actual employee is that you make/work your own hours.

#2 - I've gotten a few "projects" from clients that are in a bind RIGHT NOW. I found I had to knock out a project where I worked overnight for them. Because I was able to do this on the fly, I received repeat business from them. I just wonder if you're limiting yourself by posting those hours.

All in all, the website itself is great. I'm sorry that my feedback wasn't all positive, but those are things that I would want to know myself!

Good luck to you!

I think that your description of the services you offer is broad and not specific. I like that you say that your customers have obstacles and you have solutions so why not list those obstacles and the solutions you provide? You have piqued my interest but then if falls flat of maintaining my interest.

Then when I get to the service menu, I think it is confusing because I am not sure what a pre-paid Visa plan has to do with web design, which is a service you do offer. I think this page should elaborate about what you offer on your home page. "Performing a wide range of support activities for your department to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization." is vague.

I also do not know who it is you are targeting your business toward. You say you are a business solution but there are many, many kinds of businesses and your site should appeal to the needs of that market.

I do like that you state that you offer solutions. I think that is very effective. However, I do not like the ad at the bottom of your pages and once clicked leads to a dead link. It is distracting.

I do not thnk that posting your work hours is effective. It actually could work against you if someone wants you on a Monday but they see you are not available, you might lose them. I'd leave that out and worry about hours later. I don't work for each of my clients every single day and there are ways to work around this if someone needs you on a day you are not available.

Are you selling a credit card plan?

Janine

To help clarify and get more feedback on how I could display this information, I am a representative of the CaraMoney Card which is a prepaid Visa credit/debit card. It is exactly like the other prepaid cards you can purchase at retailers but without the registration fees and the monthly usage fee is less than $5/month. The company generating the cards allows us to use their content to promote the cards from our websites, but I am finding it difficult to get that information into an understandable form because the cards can be used by employers to pay employees/contractors and also used by the general public to get their paychecks direct deposited to the cards.

Suggestions are helpful.

I am also an associate for Pre-paid Legal plans, which is the link on the advertisement. I can fix the link to point directly to my Pre-paid Legal Plan sign up page, but as far as that pages functionality, that is at the discretion of the PPL company and I am limited to what can be displayed on my website. It is a wonderful and affordable program. The members can only be signed up by other members, that's how you get a plan. So I am also looking for feedback on how to offer this product to start up and small home businesses. I thought of doing a short powerpoint presentation (maybe 2-3min) as a briefing then directing the person to the signup page. What are your thoughts on that?

Oh, and to address the Office Hours. I have my hours posted (which I will add "Other Upon Request) because my Rush/Emergency Rates are $5 more per hour outside of my normal Office Hours. If the client doesn't know those hours then that leaves me wide open to On Demand with no extra compensation. That was my thought process on it.

Thank you for all your comments I will continue to incorporate and update the site as needed.
