Hello All ! Thanks so much for all your input ! I have read and reworked my site, tweaked ..un-tweaked and then tweaked some more lol Below is a link to check it out again ( if you wouldn't mind

I know I still have the page tabs to rename ( as soon as I figure out HOW lol ) the "Clients" page I have renamed to "Customer Service" ...that might work better? and of course "Page 2 " is supposed to be "Our Services" ...I am working on those tomorrow. So just pretend for now that those are correct lol

Sue,

I love what you've done with your pages, but I think you need to rethink your header entirely. When a visitor arrives at your site, they see a photo with your business name, which is taking up most of the screen, and below it a big animated graphic with your business name again. Since your header is the first thing people see when they come to your site, it is very important that it look professional or people may not stick around long enough to see anything else.

I suggest you create a header that is the same width as your main content, put the photo (without any text on it) to one side of it, and your business name and tagline on the other side. This will improve your site three ways:
  1. It will have less of a homemade look to it.
  2. Your business name and tagline will stand out more.
  3. It will move everything else up so people can see immediately what your site is all about.

If you don't have graphics software to design your own header, consider hiring someone to do it for you, or you can download a free program for designing headers from http://www.xheader.com/ . Please note that I haven't tried this program but it was recommended by someone else.

Your hard work is paying off - you're just about there!

Janet

Thanks Janet!

I did create a header using the xheader program, It seems to be a great program, very simple to use, loads of templates! I don't think it came out to bad, what do you think?

I want more than anything at this point to click publish ! lol But ...perfection is priority or at least as close to it as I can get

Now to figure out the renaming of my page tabs ...and I will be just about done...I think lol

Thanks again all !

Oh yes, that is much better! I'm glad to know that program is as good as I'd heard.

I noticed one other small thing - on the Home page, the title is white on black and shows up nicely, but on the internal pages, it's grey on black and is very easy to overlook.

You must be really excited about being able to launch it soon!

Hi

It does look much better! I love on your rates page that little pink piggie, "pay here.' My favorite thing. Makes paying so much funner.

When I land on the page, I'm still a tad bit overwhelmed with graphics. I think they mentioned that above too though and you're working on it.

You're getting there!

I would recommend naming "Page 2" something different....
Also perhaps the bottom could match the top more..the lettering of "Secretaries corner" to "Ask your Virtual Assitant" so the feel is the same..

I love the immediate focus of the office and the name is very clear to show what your biz is about..I think the photo of the office looks elegant, updated and modern.

Great job in getting your site up - that is half the battle! It will always be a work in progress as you don't want a stagnant site for SEO -- keep it updating.

I love the look and feel of your site - very clean and calming, absolutely beautiful. I did notice a few things for tweaking (on your second link).

The Page 2 still shows on the Home page nav bar for Our Services.
Clients still shows on the Home page nav bar for Customers Service.

The best 2 pieces of advice I received for my site were....
Grab them in the first 20 seconds using what issue/problem are you going to solve for them.
Keep the important text above the fold (before you have to scroll).

Hope this helps and good luck with your business.
