Nice layout, Kelly. It's very user-friendly and easy on the eyes. The only thing I would suggest is titling your site either through your site builder's interface or manually entering the title on your index.html page.

In the index page, you'll find the title tag about 3 or 4 lines down from the top. It will look like this:

<title>Home</title>

Change this to whatever you feel will draw prospective clients.

Best wishes for your success!

Hi kelly-

I do like the coolness of your website. Its clean and also easy to navigate.

These are my suggestions:
As soon as you are able, get paid website hosting because the ads at the top of your pages are distracting and gives potential clients a not too positive impression about your business. You have two different font sizes/types on your homepage, make your font size/type uniform all through. Deborah made a very good point about your <title></title>, visit the SEO section on the forum for information about optimizing your website for the search engines, so potential clients are able to find your on the Internet.

Hope this helps.

Well done Kelly. You have a lovely site, easy to navigate and informative and well written.

Though I do agree about getting a paid website, as the ads at the top takes from the effort you have put into your site.

Continued success with you business.

Very nice layout of your website. What suggestions do you have for a new member? I don't know where to begin. I am excited with the idea of becoming a VA, but am unsure how to get started.

How much advertising do you have to do drum up business? How long did it take you to actually contract your first job? What licensing requirements are necessary to work as a VA? Insurance? So many questions.

Agnes,
It looks as though you've been working as a VA for a while now. What do you suggest for a new member trying to get started. I love the idea of becoming a VA, but am unsure how to get started. I just became a member today. I have worked in banking as an Admin Asst for 8 years and have been self employed as an Office Manager/Secretary/Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk/Data Entry Clerk for the past 7 years. I would love to continue the work I like doing without getting drug back into the corporate world.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Toni from Louisiana

I like your site and agree with the previous comments made. The ads at the top are distracting and I would recommend getting a paid website.

Great job overall!

Lovely design. The About Us page could benefit from a nice photo to personalise your business a bit more. And I would write a bit more about your terms on the rate page.

On the home page you don't really have an attention grabber. How about changing the text around, having the questions "Is your admin getting in your way? "etc. first and "What is a VA" afterwards. And maybe you could include a picture of someone stressed out about admin or some other attention grabber. Otherwise really nice.

Thank you!

Some good ideas Heike, I'm going to have a play about with it today and see if I can make it a bit more "eye catching" I guess it's good to change it a bit now and again anyway.

thank you

Hi, Kelly! I like the general idea of what you're doing. I have to say I'm not a fan of the white nav bar. For me, it's too large of a contrast in colors. JMO, of course. I really like the picture of the guy staring at the stack of work.
