Default Constructive criticism needed for a newbie
Hi all,
I'm just branching out into this field and have been building my website. It's not 100% complete, but I'm almost there. Please tell me what you think, aesthetically speaking, content, etc. Thanks in advance for comments!

Good morning,

Your website is beautiful. The copy simple and well-written.

The repetition of information doesn't seem necessary. For instance, The website/blog page has much of the same information that the fees page has. Perhaps you could give more information regarding the website/blog on its page and confine the fees to the fees page.

I like your continuing blog post heightening expectation for the following post.

I wish you the best of luck. I'm also a newbie constructing my website.

Virtual (sorry I do not know your first name)

Here are my thoughts based on the home page only. For the above the fold area you have too many things that take people away from your site. I have no clue (as a visitor) how you can help me with my business.

Think of it this way, why would I choose you over your competition and what compelling information would make me want to go further into your information.

Virtual,

I think there is too much information that is not relative to the solutions you provide to clients.

Lee responded above. She has one of the most (IMO) easy to read and to-the-point websites for a VA. She answers immediately what she can offer and then once she has the user interested, they can scroll down lightly to find the services she provides. Take a look at her site (and other VA's) to get some ideas for compelling content.

I do like the white background you have used and I feel this makes a crisp look. Just a little tweaking and you will be set.

Good Luck! And please sign your name...it is nice to know who people are when we reply! Thank you!

Janine

Hi Stephanie,
your animated gif in the middle that changes, has red letters that say learn more, and are not clickable. Your contact us bar on the right, has the input fields extending out of the box. The stuff below the line on the homepage is too far down and no one is going to read. Your good content on the about and the two services pages should be neatly and briefly put on your main page. By the way Janine, I agree with you, Lee has a fantastic looking site! I like the part where she has the four colored boxes and think she should move those up and make her top banner smaller but overall super excellent.
