Default Can you review my website?
My website has been up for a month. What do you think?

Thank you so much for looking at it. Any advice would be helpful.

Hi Teri ... your site looks great. The only point I would make is your testimony is halfway down the page on your 'About Teri' page ... can you include a separate page for Testimonials, or maybe put it higher up so prospective clients can find it easily?

Warm regards
Karen

I will add a seperate page for my testimonials. I think that is a great idea.

Teri, it looks really good and clean (organized) I especially like how you seperated your services. I would give a little more information about how prices subject to change, how there could be additional charges (for rush projects, or phone consultations, changes after the job is done, etc)

I like how you have the cost comparison. However, under the An Office Remedy you have $35 for Total Compensation. I think that should be 0 because you have what a business would pay for an employee besides the hourly rate in that section and you add them together in the bottom of the table. Just a suggestion.

Last suggestion: where you have "You don't pay for any of benefits, breaks, lunches, etc." I think you might want to add taxes and Workmans Comp and you might want to add the after of and before benefits. "any of the benefits"

Hi Teri,

I like the colors of your site and how easy it is to navigate. You have very nice content and I love your pic on there (that is you, right? ).

One thing I noticed is that your homepage has to be scrolled horizontally, but your other pages don't. This could be because you have different <table style="width: settings.

Oy. If anyone knows me around here, they know I'm not "fond" of using tables for layout ((X)HTML and CSS are the way to roll ). Tables were/are for presenting tabular data only, so I won't go into the many reasons why not to use tables here for layout, etc. If you visit my site, in the 'Web Design FYIs' there's a bit of info there - if you're interested, that is.

Hope I didn't offend by anything I said; I do like your site a lot!

Thanks again for all your input!

I will look at the cost comparison again and add on to the statement about saving from benefits.

I have also just read that tables should not be used to design a website. I read this, of course, after my website was done, but that's ok. I used a site builder that used tables. It was a free with my web host, so I decided to use it. I don't know html, but would like to learn. Hopefully later I will be able to make a more fluent website. For now, though, this will do.

Thanks again for all your suggestions! It encourages me to learn more about web design.

Oh, and yes, the picture is of me. Thanks again!

Teri

I checked my site and I don't have to scroll horizontally in my home page, but I have a wide screen laptop, so that is probably why. Thanks for that comment! I will match the width of the page with the others. Scrolling horizontally would be a hassle!

Great Site Teri, here are a few things I found...

I see you offer Bookkeeping services, however as I was reviewing your experience I do not see any experience for that service. You might want to make sure that all services have some experience you have listed.

You might redo the cost comparison since .16 cents isn't a whole lot of savings. For example, I would pay 16 cents to have someone extra in the office for 8 hours to help answer the phones alone. The savings should be more than this.

On the service and price page the last sentence Contact Teri for.... I believe there is an extra space between a and free.

Overall, again, great site! Good Job!! Best of luck filling your book to overflowing.
