Question Can I have website opinions?
Can I get some opinions on my website? I myself think it looks fine... but I guess an opinion from someone else with experience would be fantastic! I really like the design... but does it appeal to clients?? How is the set? Too much information? Not enough information? Any opinions would be great!

Hi Dekota,
You have a lot of information on your site so it took me a while to get through it. I love Pink so I am fine with that color but the script font (for the current page) does not show up as clearly on the black background and I didn't see any photo's so there was nothing to draw my attention to continue reading down the page.

You have an entire page set out about what Virtual Assistants are but wouldn't it be nice to talk just about what Ideal VA is and how they do business. Rename your Virtual Assistants page FAQ.

You have a few gramatical errors, eg: "Say you its Friday" or "Our services are not limited." Not limited to what, or is it that your services are unlimited.

The text on your website should be more concise. I see you have "Medical erminology", please run everything through a spell checker. We'll let you know if we see anything too.

Rates: I found this a bit confusing. First you say "....we will work with you!" then you say "charges usually stay the same".

Finally, your Articles have a few spelling errors too. Is there a way to set this up like a blog? I don't like that Vista Print has their logo on your page but I understand that they give you a deal so when you are starting out every freebee counts.

Thanks! I will definately look over things today... this is really a first for me! But I appreciate every little bit of advice! I will definately run spell checker and reword a few things. I don't really know about any photos.. I may have to change the background for something maybe a bit more professional and add some photos then?

Again, thanks so much!

I absolutely love the color scheme Dekota! The main page is nice but seems a little bland, maybe a photo or some kind of company logo or avatar might look good. Also it is really great to have testimonials, you'll want to bring attention to that. Show what they are saying.

I love the layout and colors. I see you took your time and worked really hard on this. I have a couple of recommendations:

Front Page: "We hope you can find everything you need." How about removing that all together.

Front Page: "Ideal VA is focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction - we will do everything we can to meet your expectations."
How about: "Ideal VA is focused on providing you with high-quality service and 100% customer satisfaction." "We strive to meet your expectations and goals to help you succeed!"

Front Page: "Ideal VA is located in Florida." I would remove this line and put it on the About Us page. (Which means you might want to create one)

Front Page: "We offer a variety of services." Should be removed because you say the same thing below in the next paragraph.

With a variety of offerings to choose from, we're sure you'll be happy working with us. Look around our website and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact us. should have a link to your contact us page.

On your fees page you have "New customers save 10%" I would make that RED or LINK BLUE so that is does not fade. Right now most computers have different graphic cards and that light blue might not show up as well as a darker color would.

I hope I have helped a little.

Andrea~

Does anyone know how to add the VA rate comparison calculator to a vista print website? I am stumped... there is nowhere to put html code or anything of the sort... copy and pasting to the page directly doesn't work either.

Hi Dekota,

I think the colors and feel of your website is very pleasing. You did a good job at putting it all together. I do have a few comments regarding your rates.

There is no incentive for your clients to buy a 5 hour retainer package at $30per hour when your "without a retainer rate" is $25 per hour. You could either raise the "no retainer rate" to $35, or get rid of the 5 hour retainer package.

On your 40 hour rate, I have to ask....do you really want to work for $12.50 per hour? Will your business make a profit at that rate?

Think about your rate structure very thoroughly. It can always be changed, but you are stating that you won't. So just make sure you can stick with what you have posted.

Good luck to you!

Jen

Thanks so much... I went ahead and raised my rates... I am just afraid they are too high for this market??? Any opinions?

What you do you think you are worth? that is the question. Like Jen said, think hard on what you feel your services (which reflect your work) are worth.

In the long run you are the only one that can answer that question
