Writing a bio - Virtual Assistant Forums

Hello everyone,

I am writing up a new bio. I feel my old one is not good or something is missing. I wonder what you do and don't put in yours. I am writing this one so I can reference it anytime I need a bio then I will just input this. OK Erin, I have some feedback for ya, since you asked. IMO, your About page should talk about your life path, your career experience, your ambitions, and a little about your personal life. You can talk about what principles you hold, but not so much in terms of how good your services are. Know what I mean? This page isn't for selling, it's for transparency.
Also, the About page can have the length it does currently, but a bio that you can copy and paste wherever probably should be two paragraphs at the most.
And I have to suggest that, darling as the photo is, you won't attract a lot of clientele with a mama and baby picture. Better to have one showing you as the focused businessperson.
Hope you don't mind my out front assessment - happy to clarify and help more if you'd like. I figure that's what we're here for, right?

This is exactly the type of feed back I was looking for :P I am changing the picture now. I know that was not the best choice of pictures but I just don't have pictures of me LOL So I put up the only picture I have of me. I am going to go work on the About Me page content and see what I can come up with.
