Exclamation Reminder to Use CopyScape to protect your website content
After you spend all your time and energy on writing content for your website, that last thing that you want is someone copying all your hard work without your permission.

You can check to see if your site has been copied at www.CopyScape.com.

It happens to the best of us, and more often than you'd ever suspect.
Especially with the advent of content scraping 'spiders' that gather entire websites and blogs via RSS feed, then republish the content elsewhere....

This tool is also great if you're purchasing content - to check to see if it's already been published elsewhere, or worse - stolen from a competitor's site (which has happened to at least one member here that I know of).

This is a great reminder thanks for posting!

I'm just bumping this up for any new members who are unaware of the use of CopyScape - a superb tool for protecting your website content!

If you've used CopyScape please post back with a brief description of how it's helped you maintain ownership of your website material.

I just ran it and discovered that someone in Ireland used part of my copy to advertise for a bookkeeping assistant! How weird is that???!???
