Default Client Testimonials
I touched on this briefly in response to an earlier post of mine but I felt it deserved a thread of its own!

W all know that testimonials are vital to help getting new business but when you start out you obviously don't have any (the position I am in now).

However, I have testimonials from my other freelance business that I have been running for several years.

Do you think I could link to these on my website? After all, they are testimonials about me as a freelancer (although not for my current business).

I would be interested to hear peoples thoughts on this.

Thanks

Lynda

I've always thought it OK to have people who know how you work on a professional level as well as previous employers to write testimonials. It's just a good reference to the way you work and their satisfaction.

If they are testifying about YOU doing business services for them, I don't see why not...

Yeah, definitely, they are talking about you as a person and your business skills after having worked with you.

I am in a similar situation, i got a previous employer's feedback, and current one, but i also asked for feedback from a person whom i assisted in a training i guess that works too right?

I would agree with the others....if they are from individuals who have experience working with you they would count.

Shaza - I personally don't see the harm in this at all. They are valuable statements about your good work, so I believe it would be a good thing.
