Thank you Janine, I will be pondering these questions tonight. Having read earlier about linkedin and what can help to sell you, I think this will help me to remeber what I am good at.

Thanks again.

Thank you for this, I never knew how hard it is to write about myself and keep it interesting. Maybe I need some new hobbies. LOL

Thanks for the great content. I too found it hard to start writing a bio. There are so many things about ourselves we do not often give ourselves credit for. As women we tend to discount the knowledge, eye for detail and persistence it takes to get it done.
We also sometimes forget that we are talking to real people who want to know who we are. Yes they are interested in our professional knowledge and what we can do for them, but they also want to know just what character of person we are.
Being personable, open, honest and an ordinary person, alleviates some of the fear a lot of clients have when dealing with business partners.
These tips are a great tool to help us express that character.

Thanks,
Beth

This list is great. I am having such a difficult time coming up with my bio. You would think it would be easy to talk about myself!

Hi,

I realize this thread is pretty old but WOW what relevant and helpful information to run across!

Question - when I include my bio, or "about me", page on my website is there a standard length I should keep in mind? I normally don't like talking about myself but as I started answering these 16 questions, I found it hard to stop typing!

Thanks for your advice,
Karyn

Karyn,

It's the quality of the words that is important, not necessarily the length. Try to answer all the questions and narrow it down to one or two paragraphs.
