On all the images on my website I've included alt text. I do this as a matter of course whenever I develop a website, as it's good SEO practice.

As far as I understand things, normally when you mouse over an image with alt text, it shows the text in a small beige-coloured box that pops up just beneath the mouse cursor. However, this doesn't seem to happen on my site and so I am concerned that maybe the search engines might not be picking up my alt text either.

Any ideas, please? Why does my alt text not appear? Will it still be picked up by the search engines?

Your "alt" descriptions do show in IE but Firefox, and some other browsers, need some additional code.

Changed: (added "title")
