Hello,

I have a question and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I designed a mobile website and I am now at the point where I need to add some mobile device detection and redirection code. I have found several different resources citing PHP code for mobile device detection and redirection. Gave it a try and for some reason, I can't get the code to work. I know I am probably missing some small step. My main concern is getting code that I know works and can trust.

So here are my questions:

1. Is there a trusted website I can go to for code samples?
2. Tips for implementation?

The original site is flash based, so in the end I want the user to land on the index.php page -detect whether a person is using a mobile device or not and then redirect to the proper version (either the flash version or mobile version).

I used a plug in for my wordpress built site from here http://www.websitez.com/ it looks like everything is just for word press but you might find some code or something.

Hey D, have you looked around Hamid and Tess's blog: Coding Recipes (scroll down the list of categories on the right)? Since, among other things, they do mobile apps, maybe there is something there that might work for you.

Or a Wordpress plugin like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/...bile-detector/ or http://wpfeed.com/2009/03/top-wordpress-mobile-plugins/. Not sure if these are what you are looking for - just did a quick cursory look.
