#1 (permalink)   10-30-2009 MaryH Contributing Member   Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Altoona, Iowa Posts: 232 Customizing Wordpress.com blog I'm setting up a wordpress.com blog for a client (a temporary blog until they get their new blogsite set up) and I'm trying to customize it and at least change the header colors, but it tells me I can't save any changes unless I purchase a custom CSS upgrade. Does anyone know another way I can make changes to the template on there? Thanks in advance!

If the terms listed by the original designer are that any edits to the template come at a price then I'm afraid I don't have any helpful suggestions, short of hacking - but that's bad karma! If it was my client I would just start with the basic WP theme and customize it based on the client's website design. You'll probably be only allowed to upload a logo but that's it. Some of them let you change their colours though... but I think it's only three...
