Arrow Codeacademy - interesting new resource for learning to code
I wanted to share an interesting new resource called Codeacademy where you can simply 'Learn to code.'

From the site:
Codecademy is the easiest way to learn how to code. It's interactive, fun, and you can do it with your friends.

It looks like they have a VERY limited number of programming tutorials available at this point but given that they've been backed with *plenty* of venture capital AND integrated a social networking aspect of sorts where you can collaborate with friends, share your progress as you learn, and contribute in other ways it will likely grow to be an even better resource.

A good place to start on the site? 'Getting Started with Programming' (Javascript)

Check out Codeacademy here.

Thanks Tess! I just went to the website. I already went through some of the lessons. I have bookmarked the website.

Been doing this for a few weeks now, on to week 4. Really great way to learn.

Thanks Tess! Amazing idea they've come up with. Much easier to learn when you can share.

Harr! I went there with my IE8 browser & it said that my browser is not supported. That's the first time I've encountered that. ~lol.

So I confess, I use IE. I don't know why, but IE displays text much better on my monitor than any other browser. Text in FF/Chrome/others is wispy & weak. In IE it's got some ommph & it's easier to read, even though it's the same size. ???

Thanks for the link, Tess. I'll have FF open later & will check it out then.

~still laughing.

Tess, I absolutely love this site! I forgot I was reviewing the forums because I got so involved with the lessons. I hope I can retake them after I get done just so that I can make sure I have it all down pat. Thanks for sharing.
