Default Best way to put moving/fading photos on a webpage?
A client asked me to design a doorway page for the company website which will include moving photos. I don't know Flash, so I was wondering if there was something simple out there (free or next to free) that will enable me to do this. I don't even know where to begin looking or what this is called! Is it a slideshow? Java? (Don't know that either.) Each picture needs to fade (not slide) into the next one in the same spot. Is this do-able in either FrontPage 2003 or Microsoft Expression Web2?

H-E-L-P!

I haven't done this in a while, but if the pictures are uploaded to a photo sharing site, like photobucket, flickr or any other one, you can create a presentation which allows you to add certain special effects to a presentation and it will also give you the code to add it to the site. Like I said I haven't done it ages but you might check around on those types of sites. If you google photo sharing you will find other sites too.

You might be able to accomplish what you are doing with JavaScript. It's very powerful, so I would look into that.
