Default Transcribing Webinars
A client has asked if I would transcribe a webinar for her. How would this work best? Should I have her send me a recording (mp3) of the audio portion, or give me access to the recording?

I use ExpressScribe.

Thanks for your help,

SueAnne Warren

Hello, SueAnne. I would definitely have your client send you the audio in MP3 format. It will really make your job so much easier. If you have to convert the recording, it can be time consuming and frustrating.

Do you know the webinar's file format? Express Scribe can load a lot of different formats, so it may be that your client's recording will be fine as is. Check out the file formats you can use with Express Scribe in its HELP menu.

Good luck and enjoy your weekend!

I've just completed a 600 minute webinar..!!

The client shared her folder on Dropbox so I could copy the files to my hard drive - I then copied the finished transcripts back into the folder - worked really well.

Thank you! Both are good options to know about.

How did it go SueAnne? I'd love to hear what you ended up with for my own future reference!
