I have a one-time project client (grad student) who will be conducting some of her interviews over the phone. Through what she already had, and our previous discussion about microphones, her in-person interview setup is great. But she just e-mailed and asked what she should use for the telephone interviews. The only clients I have that do telephone interviews are large companies with an in-house computer-type recording system, so that's no help.
Here's an example of an in-line thing.
In-Line Telephone Recorder - Amazon
Then there's the induction coil one that suction-cups to the phone handset, but I don't think that gives very good quality. And then you can just record with the person being on speaker phone, but I'm sure that's not very good quality either.
Anybody know of something that's not too expensive and gives good quality audio? I can offer these three suggestions to her, but wanted to ask the experienced here if they have any recommendations first as to which way might be best or brands, etc!!
Thanks!!
