I just had to jump in on this -- very funny -- I'm not sure which is worse, trying to transcribe the no teeth guy or the clenched pipe guy. I've had my share of nightmares, but those take the prize!

Hi Everyone,

Funny! I agree with the questions and some that I didn't even think of. Thanks so much for posting. I'll definitely keep it on file.

Question for everyone. Where is a good place to let other transcribers know you are available to subcontract?

Warmly,

Great question! I am an independent contractor right now with a transcription company. I got so lucky, because they are are a great company to work for. But the work is very sporadic and as I'm sure you would agree, we all want more work! So yes, I would also like to know where or how transcribers can subcontract to other transcribers (not necessarily to transcription companies). Great question -- and I will keep my eye on this. If I find some information, I will be sure to send you the word. It's all about helping each other out!
