Default Writing Your Own Content with Allison Nazarian

Without good copy and a good message — you are never going to have customers or clients if they don’t know how you can help them ~ Allison Nazarrian.

The first episode of 2010 is all about writing content for your business. Providing expert advice and information on writing your own copy is Allison Nazarian, copywriter and writing coach. Allison founded Get It In Writing, a company that provides copywriting services and internet marketing to businesses, in 2001. In 2009 Allison renamed her business Allison Nazarian Unlimited, but is still devoted to providing copywriting and marketing solutions to businesses.

It turns out that people that think they don’t have the writing skills needed to write good content for their website and business materials can indeed write their own copy. My conversation with Allison confirmed this. Allison shares great information on key points to keep in mind when writing your website copy, including the very important fact that the copy should be less about you and more about your prospective client, formatting and more. Also — Allison answers the popular question – should I use “I” or “We” on my company’s About Us page.

This episode is full of great information and resources from a copywriting pro. Thanks Allison for sharing your expertise with us!

PS: Since my conversation with Allison and later Tammi Metzler (another copywriting specialist), I have been regularly updating my blog. If I can do it, you can too.

I'm bookmarking this one for tomorrow a.m. - Allison is fast becoming someone I not only have immense respect for but sincere admiration. She's just an all around accomplished, and cool, chica.

Thanks for finding awesome guests for your show Darlene! Looking forward to listening....

Talking Re: Writing Your Own Content with Allison Nazarian

Thanks, Darlene! This was very timely as I'm currently working on my web copy. Right now I'm over at http://thecopywritingstore.com/ reading more good stuff. I also downloaded Allison's free e-book, "Top 8 Copywriting Secrets Revealed."

I thought this blog was especially good, but I'm enjoying them all.

Thanks again & thanks to Allison, too.

I only thought my web copy was complete...HA ! I just listened to the podcast and Allison provided some very helpful tips. Needless to say, I revised my web copy and took out the "I's" and "we's."

You guys really go the extra mile to help us. Thank you so much .

Darlene, I thoroughly enjoyed your podcast with Allison! She offered great tips and it was so nice to hear what she sounded like because I have seen her around Twitter. Always nice to put a voice to a name if you can't meet someone face to face-LOL! Great job!
