Thoughts on how to market to attorneys

I am new to this business, but have a paralegal certification, as well as a real estate background and marketing. I was wondering how other Paralegal VA's have contacted attorneys or marketed themselves to attorneys and what works best?

I've been posting in Craigslist under the legal services section for my city. I've garnered a lot of web hits from that, as well as a few phone calls. I also got my first client last week, but that's a post I made elsewhere the forums.

I am in the process of drafting a press release that I will send to local newspapers, business journals and legal publications for publication. Your state and local bar associations are good places to start. Search for other attorney associations in your area as well that may have needs that your service will compliment.

I also just purchased an email list from http://www.lawyer-411.com/default.asp of all attorneys in Texas. This site provides the ability to create custom databases of email lists according to criteria you provide. I found their rates to be quite reasonable. I'm looking into whether I'll be doing my emailing via software I downloaded from http://www.emailmarketingprofessional.com/ or if I will have ConstantContact.com do it for me.

Be sure to utilize social media as well. You can create a business page on Facebook, and also create a Twitter account. Also look into LinkedIn or Biznik.

I just started advertising on linked in ads. They have a ppc program that you could target to attorneys in whatever demographic area you choose. Not sure of the results yet since my first ad hit yesterday. I will keep you posted. It is approximately $2.00 a click but it is relevant advertising.
