Default Out of state clients
Hi everyone!

Just wondering if anyone here works for law firms that are located across state lines?

I have the opportunity to, but I am not sure of the tax issues or if I could run into any legal problems working from a different state.

Any advice? Thanks!

Yes, I live in MI and I work with attorneys in WA, IL, IN, VA, OH, and MI at the moment. The ethics committee in my state said that was fine as long as I follow the rules for paralegals in my state when I perform work for out of state attorneys.
