In my bookkeeping services I also offer auditing services from previous years, moths, weeks etc to my new clients.

In your bookkeeping services do you also offer auditing to first time clients?

Do you also do auditing during the course of your contract?

I don't offer auditing PAST books but I DO keep an eye on the current ones and go over management reports with my clients on either a monthly or quarterly basis (their choice). I don't offer tax services and tell my clients to have their taxes done professionally, rather than a DIY.

I stated to my client I am not an accountant nor an auditor so won't offer advice. Reconciling their books is different than auditing, in my opinion. Maybe you mean reconciling their books?

I offer to audit past records that I did not keep to see that they have the proper procedures and processes in place. I do not offer auditing on my current accounts, for this is something that their accountant or professional complete.

I do sit on auditing committees for two non-profits. This is the only auditing service that I will provide as a service. Then again my target is solo and small businesses so I will advice on the needs but there is nothing extensive about compliance and procedures.
