USING QB for a Trucking Company

Do any of you have experience using QB (any version) with a Trucking Company or know someone who does? If so, would you be willing to share your insight on version/setup?

Hi Angie,

I never did one specifically for a trucking company. However, Quickbooks Contractor edition might be perfect for them.

1. The driving trips could be set up as "jobs" for individual clients. Which you can track doing repeat trips for the Client all in one account.
2. Also, trucking companies sometimes have subcontractor drivers, and not just employees. This version is great for tracking their individual payments and their info such as license and insurance requirements.

There may be another version better, but according to my knowledge, Contractor Edition would definitely be the way to go.

Thanks for the advice, Tomekia! I will look into it. I have experience with the contractor edition, but hadn't considered it for Trucking.
