Default Steps To Start Direct Deposit
My client would like his employees to start getting direct deposit. How do I go about getting this done. Do I contact our bank first, the software company to make sure it can be done or the employees' banks.

Any help would much be appreciated.

Are you using QuickBooks to do the payroll? Intuit handles direct deposit very easily from within the software.

If not, contacting the client's bank would be my first step. I wouldn't contact the employees' banks at all. You can get the employees' banking information from the employees themselves.

You need to begin with the clients bank. They will let you know what they require and how to handle the transactions. You should also find a direct deposit form for the employees since you will need this information from them.

Intuit does have a direct deposit program but I think it is $1.50 per check.

Did you get your direct deposit set up for your client? If not and you have more questions, maybe I can help?

As a matter of fact tomorrow I will be trained by the bank to get it started. Thank you for your offer.
