Where do I go to take this exam? I worked for a company for 4 years using QB and even talked them into upgrading a couple times.

I'm actually seriously considering purchasing the program within a week. My understanding is those who purchase 2009 will get 2010 for free. My goal is to become certified in 2008 before the end of the month before they close the locker, then I can take my time with 2009. Good luck to you.

One of the biggest benefits I believe is that once you become certified you are listed on the find a ProAdvisor site where potential clients can peruse your profile along with others - therefore a free marketing tool. There are also other benefits such as a free hosted website for a year, access to forums and also information on growing your business. Depending on your locale, the fina a ProAdvisor site can be very beneficial, i am in So. CA where there are a lot of certified ProAdvisors, but in some towns this is priceless you gain one client from the site and it more than makes up for the initial investment

Hi Everyone - Sorry I have not posted in a while; it has been a busy summer so far & I have been concentrating on my studies. I have found if I visit the forums I tend to spend WAY too much time reading, researching, etc.
Anyways, I am happy to say I have completed all 3 sections of the certification course and am now getting ready to take the comprehensive exam. My goal is to be certified this weekend!!! Next will be concentrating on getting clients....

Hi, Kim:

Was wondering how the testing is going or if you completed it? Also, can you direct me to where the testing materials/lessons are?

I have recently branched out my business to do some bookkeeping and frankly I'm rusty! Although I've used QuickBooks for years for basic accounts payable/receivable, there's so much more it can do that I don't know about!

Thanks!
Lisa

Lisa, the following is the log in page for the PAP (proadvisor program) http://proadvisor.intuit.com/?s_cid=..._PAPMemberSite
You do need to be a registered ProAdvisor with QB to access the course and info.
Still haven't sat down to take the final exam- waiting for a couple hours at home ALONE!!!

I took the Proadvisor test for 2006 and 2007, but thinking I should get back into it for this year. I am sure marketing as a Proadvisor helps credibility.

Finished the Certification yesterday - there is no comprehensive exam; only one for each section (3 of them). Now on to getting clients and taking the Enterprise course

completed certification for 2008 also. In order to complete the certification for Advanced ProAdvisor, you must be certified for 3 years in a row.
If anyone is taking the course now & has any questions, please let me know.

The Enterprise exam is not that difficult - take it right away while you're still in testing mode. Congratulations on passing both 2008 and 2009 - Intuit plans to release the 2010 version by early October after passing that one you will be ready to delve into the Advanced Certification course.
