Default QuickBooks 2009 ProAdvisor Certification Course
Finally getting on track and have started the QuickBooks 2009 ProAdvisor Certification Course - I have sat down with the family and told them this is a top priority and will be devoting at least an hour per day to this and my goal is to complete the course and become certified by the end of the month. At that time I plan on getting my VA business into full swing - cards, website, marketing, etc - I am getting so excited!!!

Kim,

That's awesome, best of luck to you! I have that on my "To Do List" by the end of this summer. I start back at school next month, along with entertaining my 14 year old daughter and P/T work as an Office Mgr. and working on my business on the off days. Oh and did I mention still dealing with Hurricane IKE damage, they will start next week on 2 month project of putting my other house back together! So I have to compartmentalize things on my list. Accounting Degree here I come!!!! Let me know how it goes for you, this course intimidates me...which is why it is on top of my list to dive into!

Kim and Susan - How is the testing going? I have worked with Quickbooks for many years. I have helped 3 people get their books started on Quickbooks. My sister told me today I should be an advisor. Guess I just need to go to website and check it out. I am very interested in following your progress.

Just completed the 1st quiz a few days ago. I am sure the ensuing quizzes/exams will be much harder, but it gave a good idea as to the format and question content. Will post about the next one when I complete it.

Passed the 2nd quiz yesterday - A LOT of info to keep straight. My advice is when going through the material to have QB open to see and 'feel' what the subject matter is as you go.

Hi Kim
Congrats on your 2nd quiz. Is there a time frame that you have to complete the levels?

Taking a little longer than I anticipated but I completed the 1st section - there are 3 in all. With my 4 1/2 year old it is hard enough to get all my work done, let alone extra time for class work.
There is a ton of info but I can tell you on the final test for the 1st section they emphasize Enterprise edition heavily- I have never worked with it so it did take me 2x's to pass the test.
It is a nice feature that they let you know immediately which ?'s you got wrong.

Has anyone else started the course yet?

~~Kim
