Default Online Bill Pay Options
I have a client that wanted to use the Bill Pay feature of Quickbooks until they found out there was an additional charge for this service. Is there a free option out there that works with Quickbooks that I can suggest for them. Any comments or suggestions are helpful.

Thanks
Robyn

Hi,

Typically, most banks have an online Bill pay feature whose transactions can be downloaded into QuickBooks. Now, my bank and one of my client's bank does not charge for Online Bill Pay.

They work like this:

You go in and setup your payees.
Schedule a date to cut them a check, indicating the amount of the check.
Then, on that date, the bank mails them a check.

If, the payee accepts electronic payments, then the bank pays them for you electronically. It definitely saves money on postage and check orders.

Hope this option works for you.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking also but just wanted to b e sure there wasn't some program out there that I was missing. I do not want them to have to pay out anymore than they have to.
