I am in the information gathering stage of starting a virtual bookeeping business. Is QuickBook the best software to use? Should I have more than one type of software?
In my opinion it is. I only use QuickBooks but I have at least two versions. Right now I actually have three: 2009, 2010 and 2011. It helps to have more than one version if, for example, your client has started a file in 2009 and all you have is 2010. Good luck.

I exclusively use QuickBooks. I have Pro 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2011 and Simple Start 2010 (free version) for PC as well as 2010 for Mac. Yeah, I really like it. I'd be happy to trouble-shoot any quick questions you have about QB.
