Default Need to learn QB Pro
Can someone tell me the best way to learn QB Pro and become a certified user? This is a service that I would like to offer my clients. I have several inquiries about providing this service and because I did not provide it, I have not gotten the client.

Thanks

Do you have an accounting background? Knowing the software is good, but mistakes are still easy w/out knowing WHY the entries are made a certain way.

If you have the background and just need QB training here is a good source:

http://realworldtraining.com/

they are approved by Intuit and have either instructor-led ($399.95)or self-paced ($220+) training options.

Intuit is running a $99 QB Pro program for one hour with one of their certified consultants. I inquired about it last week. I have a direct phone number and a contact name if anyone is interested. PM if you want the number.

Thank you both for the information.
I did bookkeeping a long time ago but I still know a debit from a credit.
Maybe I should take a general bookkeeping course first?

Lynda.com has very detailed training on a variety of topics, including QB. They can be a little pricey, but the trainings are worth the money. Or as Jan suggested, Intuit has seminars and programs that you can become certified. Good luck!

I also had bookkeeping experience from years ago, but as a referesher before I started offering it to my clients, I did take a class at my local college. Glad I did...I realized after taking the class I had forgotten a lot of it! The class was worth the money and paid for itselfe in a short period of time.

Hi Marsh, I learned QB through the Universal Accounting Center (www.universalaccounting.com). They provide CDs (as well as hard bound reference manuals) that you can go back and review content. They also provide real world sample exercises that cover a variety of industries.

Thanks,
Cecilia :-)
